2 Former Blackhawks Are Amongst Top-10 Active Goal Scorers

Even though the Chicago Blackhawks are at the bottom of the league and in the middle of a rebuild, they have a rich history and some very good players come through their team who are still active and performing in the NHL.

Amongst the top-10 active goal-scorers in the NHL, or rather the top-7, are two former Blackhawks who played for the team relatively recently. Alexander Ovechkin obviously tops the list of active and all-time goal-scorers, but in sixth place is Patrick Kane followed by Corey Perry in seventh.

Kane was traded to the New York Rangers from Chicago in 2022-23 and has played two seasons with the Detroit Red Wings since. He has 492 career goals and will undoubtedly reach 500 next season as he signed back with Detroit.

Perry has 448 goals in his career, but he is 39 years old and will likely not hit the 500 goal mark despite his willingness to continue playing. He didn't spend very long with the Blackhawks, playing just 16 games for the team in 2023-24.

There is a possibility that Anze Kopitar passes Perry in goals by active players next season as he is eight back and is a top line center. Unfortunately the path of the Blackhawks led to Kane wanting to leave and compete in the playoffs still, but he will always be a Blackhawks legend.
