The Philadelphia Flyers returned to practice on Friday (Oct. 25) after playing the Washington Capitals on Tuesday (Oct. 22) and Wednesday (Oct. 23). However, the team was shorthanded, as two important players — Travis Konecny and Cam York — were absent.
At this juncture, the exact reasons for Konecny and York not participating in practice have not been announced. The hope from here is that the two are each just taking a maintenance day.
Konecny, 27, has appeared in seven games this season with the Flyers, where he has three goals, one assist, 13 hits, and a minus-10 rating. York, on the other hand, has two goals, one assist, and a minus-2 rating in seven games thus far.
Konecny is a crucial part of the Flyers' forward group, while the same can be said about York on defense. We will now need to wait for an update on the two Flyers from here.
