Per FlixPatrol, both SVU and Chicago P.D. are making headway on Peacock’s Top 10 TV shows list. The Mariska Hargitay-led SVU is up two spots in the Top 10 and is in third place as of July 4, 2025. Chicago P.D. is climbing up the charts and now holds the ninth spot, ahead of Love After Lockup. The Idaho Student Murders is No. 1, with Love Island USA in second place.

Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay released a new film that has critics raving -- and now it's becoming a streaming hit, too.

Law & Order: SVU made fans happy when it was announced that Kelli Giddish -- who left in the middle of Season 24 -- will return as a series regular in Season 27. Giddish had starred as Detective Amanda Rollins from 2011-2022, with her last episode as a star being Season 24's "And a Trauma in a Pear Tree." However, she returned for several guest appearances.

"It just keeps developing and it all seems right," Giddish told CBR ahead of one of her guest spots in Season 26. "So I keep coming back and I get to go play with my family, my friends, getting to be on set with Peter [Scanavino, who plays Rollins' husband ADA Sonny Carisi], and Ice-T and Mariska [Hargitay] and all of the crew there."

Ice-T opens up on being blindsided by Kelli Goddish's surprising exit from Law & Order: SVU in Season 24.

One Chicago PD Cast Member Is Leaving Ahead of Season 13

Law & Order: SVU isn't the only NBC/Peacock series experiencing a cast shake-up. Toya Turner, who played Kiana Cook on Chicago PD, is likewise leaving after just one season. "I’m grateful for the time I had bringing Kiana to life," Turner said in a statement. "Thank you to everyone who welcomed me so warmly.” She later elaborated on Instagram.

A reason was not given for Turner's departure. But the show plans to replace the character of Cook, with producers looking for a new female regular to play an ATF Task Force officer who has a military background. Turner's departure is the second time a female regular on Chicago PD has only lasted one season. Lisseth Chavez played Officer Vanessa Rojas in Season 7, but is currently starring on ABC's The Rookie as Officer Celina Juarez.
