2'Love Life' (2020 — 2021)

Some series get all the attention they deserve, whereas others are cruelly cut short before they've found their full potential. That was the fate of HBO Max’s Love Life, which sadly ran for just two seasons despite a great response from critics and audiences alike. As of August 5th, Love Life has a second chance at fulfilling its potential as it debuts on Netflix, with Sam Boyd's indulgent rom-com arriving almost three years after its untimely cancellation.

The first season follows the ever-brilliant Anna Kendrick as Darby, a woman who can't quite catch a break in her romantic life. Jumping forward and backward through time, the ups and downs of her romantic journey are detailed in full. The second season of this anthology series instead follows William Jackson Harper's Marcus, following his messy divorce from Emily (Maya Kazan). With intricate tales of modern romantic chaos to offer, Love Life deserves more attention.

3'Fire Country' (2022 — Present)

One of the finest shows on CBS, Fire Country has been one of the network's biggest hits in recent years, and, upon arriving on Netflix last year, became a sure-fire hit for the streamer, too. Now, Fire Country's second season is available in all its blazing glory on the platform, perfect for a midweek binge-watch. After a young convict (Max Thieriot) seeks redemption, the chance to help out at the California Conservation Camp Program gives him purpose and throws him into the fiery pits of exciting action.

Back in February, Fire Country was officially renewed for Season 4, and what better way is there to celebrate than to revisit some of the show's best episodes on Netflix? Featuring a cast boasting the talent of the aforementioned Thieriot, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila, Diane Farr, Billy Burke, and many more, as well as unforgettable and breathtaking action sequences, Fire Country is the best way to escape this week following a hard day of work.
