If the Bruins decide to shop Trent Frederic, here are three teams who could look to add him.
On Tuesday (Nov. 5), NHL insider Kevin Weekes reported that Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic is generating interest from multiple teams. If the Bruins' season goes south or they look to shake things up, Frederic, a pending unrestricted free agent, could be a potential piece they move.
Because of this, let's discuss three potential landing spots for Frederic if the Bruins decide to trade him.
Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche stand out as a prime potential suitor for Frederic. They are dealing with serious injury trouble early on this season and have been on the hunt for forward help because of it. Frederic could get their attention, as he would provide them with an upgrade to their current group.
Due to his ability to play both down the middle and on the wing, Frederic could be a fit virtually anywhere in Colorado's middle six if acquired. Thus, it would not be too surprising if the Avs are one of the teams expressing interest in Frederic.
Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild are well on their way to having a bounce-back season. They currently sport an 8-2-2 record and could look to strengthen their forward group because of it. When noting that their third line could use a boost, Frederic is a player who could grab their attention.
Frederic would have the potential to provide the Wild with more secondary scoring and grit if acquired. Thus, Minnesota could be a club to watch if Frederic becomes available.
Los Angeles Kings
The LA Kings could be team in the mix for Frederic. When looking at their current roster, it is fair to say that their bottom six could use a little bit of an upgrade. Frederic would provide them with that.
The Kings are also very likely going to add to their group this season, as their start of the season has been excellent. They have an 8-3-3 record and are at the top of the Pacific Division.
