49ers Superstar Sends Strong Message on Teammate’s Underrated Hall of Fame Case

San Francisco 49ers fans have been treated to a very fun media tour from star tight end George Kittle this offseason.

From running tight end university once again to appearances on the Pat McAfee show, Kittle is always an entertaining watch.

George Kittle và Kyle Juszczyk

But Kittle’s most recent show appearance may have been the most entertaining yet. Kittle joined former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan on their podcast “Bussin with the Boys” in an episode released Tuesday June 24, 2025.

Kittle talked about everything from his new contract to if he would cut off his pinkie to win the Super Bowl.

One of the most interesting segments for 49ers fans was their discussion on 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, and a question brought up by Lewan.

“Do we think Juszczyk is a gold jacket guy?” Lewan asked, hoping for Kittle’s opinion on if “Juice” is headed for the Hall of Fame when his playing career comes to a close.

Kittle’s answer was strong and doubtless.

“Yeah,” Kittle said. “Dude he has, I think he has 10 Pro Bowls.”

“Oh, so he’s locked,” Lewan responded.

“Has to be,” Kittle doubled down.

The crew then clarified that Juszczyk has nine Pro Bowls, but that he’s made all nine in a row and that total is the most for a fullback in NFL history. He has made the Pro Bowl in every season he’s been with the 49ers (since 2017).

Why Kyle Juszczyk’s HOF Career May Be Taken For Granted

With a career like Juszczyk’s, one of the best for a fullback in NFL history already, it’s surprising that big football guys like Lewan and Compton weren’t bullish on Juice’s Hall-of-Fame case before talking to Kittle.

That’s simply because fullbacks don’t get the same recognition as other positions in the NFL.

That can be clearly seen in Juszczyk’s career earnings. His first contract with the Baltimore Ravens was worth only $2.46 million over four years. He has the two highest paid contracts for a fullback in NFL history, and yet, his biggest contract was worth only $27 million over 5 years.

The 49ers are only paying Juszczyk only $3.75 million this season, despite the fact that he’s arguably the most essential player to their offensive identity and their most consistently elite star.

But it’s not just the 49ers overlooking fullbacks, it’s the entire NFL.

In 2016, the NFL paused on recognizing fullbacks on their AP All-Pro team, effectively robbing Juszczyk of several AP All-Pro recognitions. They only brought it back in 2023.

Juszczyk won it that first season back.

Kittle Lets Lewan and Compton in On Another Funny Juszczyk Story

The Hall of Fame discussion wasn’t the only cool tidbit 49ers fans got about Juszczyk from Kittle’s appearance on Bussin with the Boys.

Kittle also told Lewan and Compton about a hilarious prank Juice likes to pull on young 49ers players.

“He’s 34 [years old], but he tells everyone that he’s 29,” Kittle said. “People believe him too, he tells everyone that he’s 29, it’s hilarious.

Juszczyk has been in the league for 12 seasons now, so the rookies are quick to do the math and realize that would mean Juice came into the league when he was 16. That doesn’t stop them from believing Juszczyk, though!

Kittle also assured 49ers fans that Jusczyk is healthy and feeling great ahead of the 2025 season.

“He’s doing great, dude,” Kittle said to Lewan. “He did all of OTAs, catching the ball, running down the sideline, having a great time.”

49ers fans can’t wait to see Juszczyk back on the field in 2025, and eventually, in a gold jacket as a member of the NFL Hall of Fame.
