Moore was a prolific college football quarterback during his days at Boise State. The young play-caller owns a 50-3 record as a CFB QB.

Moore also owns the NCAA record for most wins by a QB. Additionally, he remains the only quarterback ever get to 50 wins during his college career. The individual accomplishments are not done there, either.

He was named a first-team All-American, two-time Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year during his run as the Broncos gunslinger.

Swift rise as coach

Moore is still just 36 years old. He would become the youngest HC in the NFL if he lands the Saints' job. In just a handful of years, he's risen the ranks rather quickly. Moore began his NFL coaching career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 as quarterbacks coach.

He transitioned to OC a season later and held the role through 2022. Moore spent 2023 and 2024 with the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.

Sirianni approves

The current Eagles head coach won't be pleased to lose Moore, if/when the deal is finalized with New Orleans. After winning Super Bowl LIX, Sirianni actually threw a hail mary heave to try to get Moore to stay on staff.

"Let's run this sh** back, Kellen..." -- Sirianni said after the SB win

The now Super Bowl champ HC has had gleaming reviews of Moore, when asked about him during his time in Philly, too.

"Just can't say enough good things about what he's done here as our coordinator, how much I think of him as a play-caller and offensive coordinator. I think of him very highly as a person... A great man of character and everything he stands for.

I think he would be a a great head coach. I have no doubt in my mind. He will be a great head coach." -- Sirianni on Moore

Grew up with coaching mindset

Moore grew up with a playbook sort of mind, too. He would draw up plays as a kid and continued that evolution during his teenage years. Coaching was simply always in the cards for the eventual CFB star at QB.

"He'd always have a little notepad with him... always drawing plays."

-- Kellen Moore's father during a 2011 interview

Brother owns HS history

Not to mention, the bloodline on the gridiron is strong as well. Moore was college teammates with his younger brother, Kirby. His younger sibling currently holds the national high school record for career TD receptions (95).
