We're counting down the days until the New Orleans Saints kick off their 2025 season by looking back at all of the players who have worn the day's corresponding jersey number in franchise history. And with 67 days left to go, the conversation has to start with Stan Brock. He started at right tackle for more than a decade after the Saints drafted him out of Colorado back in 1980.
While he was never recognized with Pro Bowl or All-Pro honors, Brock started 182 of his 186 games with the Saints from 1980 to 1992, a team record when he left to play out the last three years of his career with the then-San Diego Chargers. He was instrumental for righting the ship after a decade of subpar play had undercut the Saints offense.
