9-1-1: Nashville Cast & Character Guide

Similar to its 9-1-1 predecessors, 9-1-1: Nashville features a talented cast containing a mix of big names and breakout stars. The ABC procedural drama TV show created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani is the third installment and second spinoff in the 9-1-1 universe. 9-1-1 started it all back in 2018, while 9-1-1: Lone Star followed in 2020. The first spinoff ended in 2025 after five seasons, but the original series is still going strong, set to air its ninth season alongside 9-1-1: Nashville's debut season in the fall of 2025.

As its title implies, 9-1-1: Nashville centers around the work and personal lives of a group of emergency responders in Nashville, Tennessee, all of whom face danger every day on the job. The characters range from firefighters and paramedics to police officers, just like the 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star casts. Together, they serve as Nashville's heroes.

Chris O'Donnell As Captain Don Sharpe

Actor: Chris O'Donnell was born in Winnetka, Illinois, and he later earned a marketing degree from Boston College in 1992. As for his acting career, O'Donnell appeared in a few commercials and modeled when he was young. He made his feature film debut when he starred as Chris Macauley in Men Don't Leave. O'Donnell's breakthrough came a couple of years later via his role in Scent of a Woman, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. As for his character, Don is a veteran firefighter who serves as the captain of a firehouse in Nashville. He's also a former rodeo star.

Jessica Capshaw As Blythe Sharpe

Actress: Jessica Capshaw was born in Columbia, Missouri, and she became the stepdaughter of famous filmmaker Steven Spielberg when her mother married him when the actress was 15. Capshaw later studied English literature at Brown University and graduated in 1998. Her acting career had already started, though, as she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London during her summers. Capshaw would go on to play minor roles in many movies before she made her breakthrough in 2009 when she was cast as Dr. Arizona Robbins in Grey's Anatomy.

Character: Capshaw stars as Blythe Sharpe in the cast of 9-1-1: Nashville. Blythe is Don's wife and Ryan's mother.

Hailey Kilgore As Taylor

Actress: Hailey Kilgore was born in Humble, Texas, but was raised in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. Her introduction to stardom came at a young age when she competed in various pageants and later starred in a couple of theatrical productions in Portland. However, Kilgore's career skyrocketed when she was cast to play Ti Moune in the Broadway revival of Once on This Island during her first year at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.

Character: Kilgore's 9-1-1: Nashville character, Taylor, is a "firefighter and incredible singer" (per Variety).

Michael Provost As Ryan Sharpe

Actor: Michael Provost was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. One of his first experiences in Hollywood came when he served as Asa Butterfield's body double on the set of Ender's Game in 2013. However, Provost's first significant role was as Brick Armstrong in the Netflix black comedy drama series Insatiable.

Character: Provost portrays Ryan Sharpe, the son of Don and Blythe, in 9-1-1: Nashville on ABC. Ryan works for his father and is described as a "modern-day cowboy and firefighter."

Juani Feliz As Roxie

Actress: Juani Feliz was born in the Dominican Republic but raised in the Bronx in New York City. Her acting career began as a young teen when she guest-starred in an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. After high school, though, Feliz took a break from acting and graduated from Harvard University with a degree in biomedical engineering. She even worked at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering in Boston for a bit following college graduation. However, Juani returned to acting in 2016 and made her feature film debut in The Purge: Election Year.

Character: Feliz stars as Roxie, an "adrenaline junkie and former trauma surgeon," in the second 9-1-1 spinoff. Based on her character description, Roxie is likely a paramedic working at Don's firehouse.

Hunter McVey As Blue

Actor: Hunter McVey is a model and social media personality based in Nashville. He is mostly known as a fitness influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. McVey's role in 9-1-1: Nashville will serve as his onscreen debut.

Character: McVey plays Blue in the 9-1-1: Nashville cast. Blue is described as a "haunted bad boy who is now a firefighter," implying he works under Don and alongside Taylor, Roxie, and Ryan in the ABC procedural drama.

LeAnn Rimes As TBA

Date Of Birth: August 28, 1982

Actress: LeAnn Rimes was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but she spent most of her childhood in Garland, Texas. She started singing from a young age, impressively on the musical competition TV series Star Search in 1991 when she was 9 years old. Rimes then started singing, touring, and making albums professionally, and her country music career ultimately took off when she was 13. Most notably, Rimes's hit song, "Blue," thrust her into stardom. Rimes crossed over into the acting world in 1997 and has starred in various TV shows and TV movies ever since.

Character: 9-1-1: Nashville cast Rimes in an undisclosed role, meaning she could be a part of the main cast or she could simply appear as a guest star. Given the show's location, Rimes might be playing herself. She has deep ties to Nashville and the music scene there.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley As TBA

Actress: Kimberly Williams-Paisley was born in Rye, New York, and later studied drama at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Character: In a similar vein to LeAnn Rimes, Williams-Paisley's 9-1-1: Nashville character is unknown. She could also be guest-starring as herself, seeing that Williams-Paisley and her family (including her husband, country music star Brad Paisley) reside in Nashville.
