'9-1-1: Nashville' Unveils a Fresh New Look at the Characters for the Brand-New '9-1-1' Spin-Off

9-1-1: Nashville continues its production in Music City and now fans are getting a look at the characters whose stories they’ll follow every week. The series, a spin-off of the highly successful 9-1-1 on ABC, will be set in Nashville, Tennessee. The series of images include a look at those who will make up Fire Station 113, Nashville’s busiest fire station. Among those are Chris O'Donnell, who will play Captain Don Sharpe, Michael Provost, Hailey Kilgore, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. Elsewhere, Kimberly Williams-Paisley is ready to go as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, complete with a name badge that reads C. Raleigh and a headset in what appears to be the dispatch headquarters. There’s also Jessica Capshaw, who plays Blythe Ward, wife to Captain Sharpe, looking like she just stepped out of shopping at Draper James on 12 Ave. South. Missing among the first looks at the characters is LeAnn Rimes, who was announced to be a part of the cast.

So far, there’s only been a creative teaser released for the show, accompanied by a cover of Johnny Cash’s "Ring of Fire" sung by Rimes, but there hasn't yet been a trailer ahead of the October 9 premiere. The series will air on the same night as the flagship 9-1-1, which returns for its ninth season after the polarizing death of Bobby Nash (Peter Krause). 9-1-1: Nashville will see O’Donnell’s Captain Sharpe leading the busy firehouse while also being a professional bull rider.

Jessica Capshaw Says ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Is an “Occasion to Intermingle”

Capshaw was a guest on Call It What It Is, hosted by her former Grey’s Anatomy co-star Camilla Luddington. She says of the upcoming spin-off, "I feel so, so lucky to have such a talented and kind and just awesome person to work with." She further revealed, adding, “Right now, this show is mostly on location, so we’re always in different places.” When it comes to working with O’Donnell she says, “I adore [him] and have known him for a really long time.”

And as for the other cast, Capshaw says, "I’m already completely, completely in love with Juani [Feliz] and Hailey [Hailey Kilgore] and Hunter [McVey].” As for what to expect from the spin-off, the actress added: “We have these two worlds happening where there’s this emotional life and this family, and then you have the squad, you have the firefighters, and we actually have had such great occasion to intermingle.”
