The couple has yet to pick a name for their unborn baby. So, after Bobby's tragic death, it would only make sense if Chimney and Maddie named their son after their friend, especially since this happens all the time in TV shows.

Bobby sacrificed his life to save Chimney in 9-1-1 season 8, episode 15. He guaranteed that the one cure would be used on Chimney instead of himself by hiding his symptoms. As a result, Chimney and Maddie naming their second child after the deceased 9-1-1 main character wouldn't be surprising. As proven by the public outcry following Bobby's death in 9-1-1 season 8, the TV series must do everything in its power to honor him going forward. Aside from Chimney and Maddie naming their son after him, his memory must live on. The ABC procedural drama can't just show the characters grieving Bobby for one episode and then move on with their lives. They should be able to live their lives to the fullest, of course, since that's what Bobby would have wanted. However, Peter Krause's 9-1-1 character cannot soon be forgotten, or at all, for the remainder of the show.
