9-1-1 Star Ryan Guzman Says Eddie’s Fate With the 118 And Buck - Is “Up in the Air” After Season 8 Finale

When 9-1-1 brought Eddie back to Los Angeles — and under the same roof as Buck, no less! — it almost seemed too good to be true. Unfortunately, it just might be.

As 9-1-1 Season 8 Ends, Eddie's Future With the 118 (and as Buck's Roommate) Is 'Up in the Air,' Warns Ryan Guzman

“I own the house, but he has claimed the room, so now I’m doing the couch situation,” Ryan Guzman told TVLine at the Disney Upfront (which you can watch in the video above). “I don’t know how long that’s going to last.”

And it’s not just Eddie’s future as Buck’s roommate that remains in question. His position at the 118 is also “up in the air,” as he has already accepted a job with a firehouse in El Paso, where he believes Christopher has established a new life for himself. “I know he loves the 118, but when it comes down to his son or the 118, he always chooses his son,” Guzman added.

Regardless of whether Eddie stays with the 118, however, he’s confident that the recent death of Peter Krause’s Bobby Nash might actually make the firehouse stronger than ever.

“We all grieve in our own ways, but I think it’s going to bring the 118 even closer,” Guzman explains. “When you lose someone that pivotal, you tend to lean on each other. And what the 118 has created is a family, in real life and outside.”
