9-1-1 Stars Tease What's Next for Buck and Hen in Season 9

911 Buck Hen

As 9-1-1 gears up for its highly anticipated Season 9, stars Oliver Stark (Evan “Buck” Buckley) and Aisha Hinds (Hen Wilson) are giving fans a taste of what’s to come — and it sounds like emotional growth and major challenges are on the horizon.

In a recent interview, both actors opened up about what they’re hoping to explore this season, especially when it comes to their fan-favorite characters' deep friendship and individual arcs.

“We’ve seen Buck go through so much loss and confusion,” Stark said. “Season 9 is really about him stepping into his own — not just as a firefighter, but as a person. He’s finally learning to stand still and face himself.”

Fans can expect a more emotionally grounded Buck, possibly stepping into new responsibilities at the 118, and reflecting on past impulsive choices with more maturity. “There’s growth — the painful kind,” Stark added.

For Hen, Aisha Hinds hinted that her storyline will dive deeper into family life, balancing her career, motherhood, and a potential new challenge outside the firehouse.

“Hen has always been the glue,” Hinds explained. “But glue cracks too. This season, we’ll see her vulnerability in ways we haven’t before.”

The two actors also teased more heartfelt Buck-and-Hen moments, describing their dynamic as one of the “most important emotional cores” of the series. “They’re each other’s anchor — and Season 9 will test that in some unexpected ways,” said Hinds.

With emotional reckoning, personal breakthroughs, and possibly new life directions, Buck and Hen are ready for the spotlight — and Season 9 is shaping up to be their biggest chapter yet.
