This is no joke. Mika Zibanejad may be planning to say "Sayonara" to the Rangers. Why else would he be making headlines in Crane's authoritative real estate newsletter?
The buy-and-sell sheet reports that Zibanejad just sold his West Village townhouse for $13 million.
Which prompts the question: Is this Z's white-flag-surrender?Is he preparing to move?
Is this Mika's way of telling management that he'll waive his No-Trade clause and agree to a trade? Could be; but it's not necessarily the case.
The other possibility is that he's just cashing in on a good real estate deal and may move his family to the suburbs as often is the case with players who have families.
However, if this is Z's way of telling management "all right, already, I'm outa here," I know where a few celebrations will take place.
One would be at certain offices on Seventh Avenue. The other would be the offices of Sean McCaffrey's Blue Collar Blue Shirts.
