Aaron Judge Makes All-Star Red Carpet Statement With Nod to Yankees Great

Aaron Judge made his entrance at the All-Star Game red carpet in a look that turned heads and raised eyebrows, especially for fans of a certain era of Yankees baseball.

The suit? A custom-tailored pinstriped Tom Ford number straight out of Italy. The vibe? Pure "Hit Man."

From the cut to the stance to the unmistakable Yankees aura, Judge looked like he stepped off Don Mattingly’s iconic 1990s “Hit Man” poster. He didn’t confirm the reference, but he didn’t exactly deny it, either.

“I guarantee you I’ve seen the poster,” Judge said with a grin. When asked if that was an inspiration, Judge smiled and answered, “Who knows? I’ll leave that out there.”

Whether it was a nod or just a coincidence, the pinstripes made a statement—especially coming from the captain of the team that made them famous. And Judge was quick to deflect any credit for the look. The suit came courtesy of Tom Ford’s team, the finishing touches from stylist Marcus Paul. (“You’re gonna have to call Marcus,” Judge said when asked about the shoes.)

But the All-Star red carpet wasn’t just about style. It was also about substance and size.

Judge took time to speak directly to the “big men” in baseball, advocating for multi-sport athletes and the value of raw athleticism in today’s data-driven game. When asked by analyst Harold Reynolds if baseball should take more chances on big-bodied athletes like him, rather than just skilled players, Judge dove in.

“A lot of the great athletes are playing football, playing basketball,” Judge said. “But if you can find a great athlete, you can teach them these skills. Especially with the information we have now—numbers, data, coaching—you can shape a player.”

His advice for the next generation? Get outside. Play everything. Move.

“That’s what makes the best players. You see these guys walking the red carpet? They played multiple sports. They were always outside. That’s always my vote.”

Even when he's dressed for the runway, Aaron Judge still walks and talks like a ballplayer. Walking the red carpet with his wife Samantha, Judge made sure to show his loyalty to the pinstripes and Yankees' history.
