Aaron Rodgers at least made one decision regarding his plans for the 2025 NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Made Decision On Playing For Saints

It's late May, and Rodgers is still keeping everyone in the dark about whether he'll return. Most onlookers have assumed the 41-year-old would play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the New Orleans Saints also need a quarterback following Derek Carr's retirement.

Rodgers eliminated that possibility during a Q&A session at a Mike Stud concert in Austin, Texas. The four-time MVP quarterback emphatically shut down a fan's question about playing for the Saints.

"No," Rodgers said to groans and laughter in the crowd. "That's the answer. I've played there a couple of times, but no. I'm too old. I don't want to live in Louisiana. Sorry."

Earlier this month, Carr announced his retirement due to injuries. Although he revealed his decision after the draft, the Saints selected Tyler Shough in the second round.

New Orleans nevertheless has a dicey quarterback situation for 2025. Unless the Saints add outside help, Shough will compete with Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener for the Week 1 starting assignment.

Rodgers could shift former Ohio State receivers and play alongside Chris Olave for new head coach Kellen Moore. However, he's apparently not interested in joining the NFC squad, which has gone four years without a playoff appearance.

Later in the Q&A, a young fan asked if Rodgers would ever join the Chicago Bears. The former Green Bay Packers star certainly isn't likely to replace Caleb Williams on the team he's claimed to own, but Rodgers responded by dropping a cryptic hint.

"No, but I believe there's a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip," Rodgers said. "I don't know, not sure. Got to check it out."

The Saints go to Soldier Field in Week 7, but the Bears also host the Steelers in Week 12.

Another fan later asked Rodgers if he's signing with the Steelers. While he didn't deliver any updates on the situation, Rodgers also didn't dismiss that idea.

"You never know," Rodgers said.
