When you think of the best Las Vegas Raiders players of all time, there are so many that immediately come to mind. But, when you think of the greatest Raiders running back of all time, only one name should be said.
Marcus Allen may not be the most loved Raiders running back of all time, but he is the best, and the numbers speak for themselves. The Hall of Famer has the most rushing yards in the history of the franchise, with a gap between the second most, that's almost three thousand yards, with Mark Van Eeghan second, and Josh Jacobs third.
Allen also has the most touchdowns with 79, with Pete Banaszak in second with 47. So, yes, Allen is the undisputed best RB in franchise history. But, he's not the most loved, and that's mostly because of what he did after his eleven years with the Raiders.
Allen had a falling out with Al Davis, and he really wanted to go to a team that was going to use him and value him, but also pay him a pretty penny. So, he went to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played for five years. That hurt a lot of Raiders fans at that time. But, nonetheless, he put together a great 16-year career, which as a running back, is great.
And now the Raiders have a running back in Ashton Jeanty that has the potential to do the same exact thing, and even break some of Allen's records. In fact, when you ask AI to predict and tell us Jeanty's career before it even happens, it has him having a pretty good career, and doing something similar to Marcus Allen.
AI predicts Ashton Jeanty's career
BetMGM posted a graphic of AI predicting Jeanty's career, and the stats are pretty great. But the teams he plays for are what will get some Raiders fans upset.
Jeanty finishes his NFL career with 12,500 rushing yards, 90 rushing touchdowns, and 4.8 yards per carry for his career. He finished with one Offensive Rookie of the Year award, five Pro Bowls, three first-team All-Pros, one Offensive Player of the Year, and one Super Bowl win, but it doesn't say whom that Super Bowl win is with.
AI has Jeanty playing with the Raiders from 2025-2029, meaning the Raiders would not re-sign him after his rookie deal is up. He would then play for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2030-2032, and then the Dallas Cowboys from 2033-2034.
The Cowboys certainly make sense as he is from the Dallas area, and has said before that he would love to have been drafted by them. But the Chiefs make this feel like it's almost a replica of Marcus Allen's career.
Being that he wasn't re-signed after his rookie contract, I'm not sure Raiders fans would be happy with this career out of their sixth-overall pick, that is unless the Super Bowl win is with the Raiders.
But, none of this means anything, as AI can only tell you what's happening now, and what happened in the past, not what the future is.
