Reacher might have made you believe that Alan Ritchson is all muscle and threats, but he has other hidden talents. One of them is singing, a passion that stretches back to his childhood days. While he was younger, Ritchson performed in numerous musicals. He reportedly took college-level music, theater, and dance classes while still in high school. After graduating, he was granted a full scholarship to study music and theater arts at Northwest Florida State College.
Ritchson’s love of music reached a peak when he became one of the top 87 contestants in Season 3 of American Idol. Watching the season, one can see that his penchant for showing off his body started way early. In one episode, he does the striptease, leaving some judges irked and some awed. Interestingly, Ritchson isn’t the only actor to appear in the singing competition series. A few other popular names from the film and TV industries tried their luck, to varying success.
