Alexis Bellino Announces She's Now a "Grandma"

   

Alexis Bellino’s home life just became a little cuter.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum took to Instagram this week to announce the newest member of her family — well, her fur family, to be specific.

“Meet Zombie (or lil Z as grandma calls her),” she captioned a photo of her and an adorable French bulldog. “She’s the newest addition to our family and now [hashtag fur babies] officially take the lead in headcount vs kids 7:6…. (and notice lil Z and grandma had matching fits today.)”

The photo showed Alexis sitting at a Mexican seafood restaurant with Lil Z on her lap. The RHOC alum didn’t provide any more details about the dog, including her age or where she came from; however, the caption suggested the pet primarily belonged to one of her kids or soon-to-be stepkids.

Alexis shared the family update about seven months after she and John Janssen got engaged. The couple, who started dating in 2023, have yet to announce an official wedding date but are expected to tie the knot this summer. Alexis teased her wedding plans during a 2024 sit-down at Bravo HQ, saying she wanted the ceremony to be nontraditional.

“We’re not doing a typical wedding. We’re changing it up; we have a couple [of] creative ideas,” she revealed. “I don’t know the dress style yet. I’m not wearing a wedding dress, I’m not walking down an aisle. But, my son James [Bellino] did ask to give me to John, so we’re gonna have to figure that out because I don’t want to walk down an aisle.”

Alexis shares 18-year-old James and 17-year-old twins, Miles and Mackenna, with her ex-husband, Jim Bellino. John also has three children, two adult daughters and an adult son, from a previous relationship. The OC mom shed more light on her blended family life back in September, explaining why she and John were in no rush to purchase a new home together.

“We pretty much live together right now, anyway. We bounce back between both [our] homes,” she said. “We decided we’re going to keep both homes. I have twins in high school still. We don’t want to uproot anybody from their normal, so we’re gonna keep both homes for a while…  When the twins graduate, we’ll decide then. Of course, we’re gonna buy a home together when we decide to not have both homes, but, until then, we’re just back and forth.”
