Alvin Kamara has been a staple in fantasy football for almost a decade, finishing as a top-ten running back six out of eight years in his career. However, he will be 30 years old next season and has many injury concerns. Is Alvin Kamara’s dynasty outlook on the fall entering 2025 and beyond?
Dynasty Outlook for Alvin Kamara
Current Production
Between Weeks 1 and 15 this year, Kamara was the RB2 in total PPR fantasy points and RB3 in PPG. Then, Kamara missed the final three games of the season with injuries, putting his final finish at RB9 in total fantasy points. This was a great steal for fantasy managers who drafted him as the RB15 ADP.
Last season was Kamara’s eighth season in the league, and he has had at least 1000 scrimmage yards in all eight seasons. However, he always misses a couple of games with injuries, only playing in more than 15 games in his Offensive Rookie of the Year season in 2017.
Kamara’s lowest career fantasy finish was RB16 in 2022. He has been a top-eleven fantasy running back in every other year of his career. However, in two of his last three seasons, he has finished outside of the top ten, so his production is declining.

Kamara Dynasty Price
According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Kamara is the RB23. He is behind Kaleb Johnson, Joe Mixon, and David Montgomery while ahead of Tyrone Tracy, Cam Skattebo, and Najee Harris. There are a lot of older running backs and rookie running backs in this tier. Kamara is worth an early second-round pick in rookie dynasty drafts. Trading away Kamara for this pick and then taking a rookie running back, such as Johnson or Skattebo, is great value.

Kamara Dynasty Outlook
Kamara will be entering his age-30 season next year. He did sign a two-year, $24.5 million contract extension to stay with the team through 2026. He is on the backend of his career and has struggled with injuries, but he has two more years on the Saints, who have no depth at running back right now. Currently, the RB2 is Kendre Miller. Look for the Saints to add a running back in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Saints offense is up in the air next year with question marks around who the quarterback will be. There are concerns about Derek Carr’s shoulder injury, meaning they could be taking a rookie quarterback in the Draft. This offense might not be that good next year.
