The offseason brings fun storylines around the NFL. As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches for the New Orleans Saints, the murmurs surrounding their future at quarterback only grow louder.
One of their top players made some social media headlines on Tuesday evening with his trip out to Boulder.
Kamara visits Colorado practice
The Saints' star running back was in attendance for the Colorado Buffaloes' practice on Tuesday. He got some snapshots alongside the legendary Deion Sanders and made a quick video for New Orleans' social media account.
Why does this matter? Well, the Saints could select Deion's son, Shedeur, in round one of this year's NFL Draft. They're the favorites to do so, via Fanduel.
According to FanDuel, the Saints are now the favorites to pick Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders. They're sitting with +270 odds at this moment, but that number remains fluid.
Not to mention, Sanders was the pick at ninth overall in Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest (and final) 2-round 2025 NFL mock draft. There is a clear belief that New Orleans is interested in taking a quarterback sometime early, and Sanders could be their top option.
Kamara did not discuss drafting Sanders in the video. That would've been fairly shocking for the team account to post. That being said, his strong relationship with Deion Sanders is at least notable in some capacity with all of the discussions surrounding the future at QB for the Saints at the moment.
Derek Carr remains under contract and was even restructured earlier in the offseason. While he could start next year, maybe the Saints go ahead and try to grab his replacement in Sanders in round one.
Only time will tell. Regardless, Kamara's appearance stirred the pot a bit more, even if it was unintentional.
