Amanda Batula Reveals Her First Summer House Salary, Prenup Regret, and Hints at New Castmate Who’s Been in Public Eye

Amanda Batula revealed her first season salary on Summer House, discussed why she and Kyle Cooke didn’t sign a prenup, and hinted at a new castmate who’s been in the public spotlight before.

Earlier this year, Paige DeSorbo shared that she wouldn’t return next season, and Lindsay Hubbard confirmed she’ll only film in a limited role. Lexi Wood and Imrul Hassan also confirmed they aren’t coming back.

On the Trading Secrets podcast, Amanda explained that she made about $50,000 at her marketing job after college. Host Jason Tartick then asked if she made more or less than this for her first season of Summer House.

“I think less … More than half,” said the star, indicating that her salary was higher than $25,000.

She was then asked what she thinks about prenups.

“So I messed up major,” she answered. “I don’t know if it was the movies that you would watch growing up … but prenup had such a negative connotation — it was connected to divorce. It always felt so messy … It just didn’t feel like a smart thing to do, so we didn’t sign one. Everyone should sign a prenup, let me tell you now. Protect your assets, [and] for them to protect theirs. You have no idea what’s going to happen. You think that you’re in love and happy now — it could end really messy, and then what? You’re screwed.”

Later on, Jason asked if she knew any of the newbies for the upcoming season.

“I do know of one new cast member because it’s a friend of ours — of Kyle and mine,” she shared. “It’s a man.”

“[He’s] been in the public spotlight before?” asked Jason.

“Yeah,” Amanda answered.

Jason added, “I actually went on a date with someone two, three months ago, and they told me they were casting [for Summer House]. So I wonder if she’ll be on.”

According to Amanda, the show is doing “a ton of casting” because many “big players” are gone.

“I’ve heard about like seven different girls that are going to be on the season. I’m like, no way there are seven new girls coming on the show, but I’ve heard rumors about seven different people,” she said. “So I have no idea what to expect.”
