Besides Amanda's BGT finale dress fiasco, fellow judge Alesha Dixon also faced backlash over her sartorial choice. The panel, including the likes of Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli, witnessed magician Harry Moulding being crowned as the champ by public vote.

The female judges' outfits racked up 72 Ofcom complaints this series, with viewers contacting the watchdog claiming the dresses were "too revealing for a family show".

Feisty Amanda, determined not to water down her wardrobe choices, brought the glam in her final appearance on the ITV talent show, having faced flack throughout the season.

For the glitzy finale, Amanda went all out, donning a daring braless, plunging white silk gown from Saint Hendrix, complemented by bejewelled hair adornments and a sleek bun.

Alesha also turned heads, causing a stir in her bold sequin-drenched sheer jumpsuit that cheekily bared her undies. This is not the first occasion when these two have had their ensembles scrutinised on the talent programme.

Flashback to July 2017: Amanda strutted onto the stage in an eye-popping Julien Macdonald dress that later became the year's most contentious telly moment, prompting the starlet to label it a 'national crisis'.

She lightheartedly sparred in Closer mag: "I'm always asked about the Ofcom complaints, but every outfit on the show is checked before I leave my dressing room, so I'm never worried. I think people should have fun with fashion!"

She continued: "I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together... It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It's been called another national ­crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."
