Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has opened up about her family life and what it's like filming the hit ITV show in a new interview ahead of the final
Amanda Holden has expressed concerns over a potential "national outrage" on Britain's Got Talent, which is drawing to its glittering finale this weekend. This year's season started in February and now we are just days away from the grand final which will be on ITV1 and ITV X on Saturday, May 31.
The ITV talent show judge will take her seat alongside Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon as contestants vie for the victory crown, the cash prize and the much-coveted performance at the Royal Variety Performance.
In a recent interview, Amanda shed light on behind-the-scenes fun, saying: "Normally the party is in my room after the show! Bruno is the first in for a glass of red before the producers and perhaps my Golden Buzzer act pop in." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.
She added: "The door is always open and the bubbles are always flowing. My husband and girls have been down to the show most weeks too, which has been super special
"I'd say Simon is the biggest joker now, especially now that his son Eric comes down to auditions and the live shows. He's much more emotional now and loves to see Eric laughing."
Speaking to Closer magazine, she revealed: "Simon will quite often look to Eric to see how he is reacting to an act. We joke that all our kids will replace us soon on the panel in the years to come."
Amanda also confided her hopes for a group to clinch this year's title, pointing out that a win would mean the prize could extend further, offering more individuals the joy of experiencing success on the show.
However, she joked that there might be "national outrage" if her daughters ever competed on the show. When asked about whether she would be happy to see her children Lexi or Hollie on the programme, she said: "Hollie is always threatening to audition and asks if I would press my Golden Buzzer for her.
"I have to say to her, 'I couldn't judge you because there would be a national outrage as it would totally be unfair'".

In other news, Amanda's fellow judge Bruno Tonioli recently opened up about his close relationship with Amanda – including their post-show celebrations.
He shared "We know we have a day off the next day so there might be a little celebration after the show, which will be nice! A few champagnes if Amanda has anything to do with it."
Bruno also talked about how the audience chanting his name always catches him off guard but is something he adores. He said: "That always takes me by surprise every time. It's as if I'm David Beckham, you know, I would love to have his money. They chant my name and it blows my mind, but I love it."
Additionally, he mentioned how the same chanting even follows him onto the street, highlighting the broad appeal of the show.
He said: "And the funny thing is, it happens on the street all the time, everywhere I go I get people chanting Bruno at me. And it's often from scaffolders, so it just shows they must come and watch the show because how else would they know to chant my name in the way the audience does in the theatre? It's always very funny when you get a bunch of guys on a building site or in a white van that do it."
