Amanda Holden shared that her 19-year-old daughter, Lexi, feels "embarrassed" by some of the "cheeky comments" she receives at university due to their resemblance.
Comparisons are often drawn between Lexi and her celebrity mother who celebrated her 54th birthday earlier this year. Amanda, known for her role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, takes such comments as a compliment considering their age difference.
But the mother-of-two, including younger daughter Hollie, 13, said that her daughters get uncomfortable when people remark that she looks more like their sister than their mum.
In her discussion with Fabulous magazine, Amanda revealed: "I think they find it embarrassing. Lexi said there are a lot of people at uni who make cheeky comments, which I find very flattering.
"Hollie doesn't really give a damn. But I do have to walk behind her. She doesn't want anyone to know I'm her mother!"
The television star, married to Chris Hughes and followed by 2.5 million on Instagram, pointed out that the most popular posts are those featuring her family.
Amanda also spoke of missing Lexi, now a university student and model signed with Storm agency, expressing how "weird" it feels to dine without her older daughter.
Before having her family, Amanda previously wed to Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis in 1995.
In her memoir No Holding Back, Amanda disclosed the endearing nickname given by Les that she has always cherished.
She wrote: "He said we were each other's teachers, and I loved that. I still do. Listening to his advice made me want the security of a relationship again and he made me feel safe."
They first met during a rendition of The Sound of Music at Bournemouth's Pavilion Theatre, two years prior to tying the knot.
While their union didn't stand the test of time, Amanda found her match in Chris and beyond their family life, she continues her role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, sharing the panel with Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and guest judge, KSI.
In addition to her current work, she's co-hosting an upcoming Netflix show titled Cheat: Unfinished Business alongside relationship guru Paul Brunson.
The series is set to premiere next week, tracking the stories of eight couples who parted ways following infidelity; they will reconvene at a villa in Mallorca.
