Amanda Holden's Heart Radio co-star Jamie Theakston had a "complaint" about her "naked" confessions on-air. The pair have presented the station's popular breakfast show since 2019.
On Monday, a listener contacted the pair to explain their child had been involved in an unfortunate "incident" while away completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The listener revealed a group of youngsters had followed a foodpath that went through a nudist beach.
They said "everything was okay" but the teachers from their child's school "just wanted to let them know". The story left the two presenters somewhat amused, reports the Mirror.
Jamie, 54, joked: "You know those kids have done that on purpose. I love the fact that the teachers are concerned about their mental health and the kids have had an absolute hoot."
Amanda replied: "Mental health seeing a bunch of nudey wrinklers on the beach? No disrespect, you know I'm naked most of the time in my house. Naked barbecues, naked lawnmowing..."
This prompted a playful reaction from Jamie, who remarked: "We're not going to get 16 seconds of this are we?" to which Holden burst out laughing.
Amanda recently spoke candidly about how her penchant for being unclothed at home led to an “awkward” incident. She labeled the encounter as "potentially terrible".
When Jamie enquired whether it was "career-threatening," she confirmed with a "yes". It was then that Holden disclosed the new addition of a camera in her garden.
Amanda was left red-faced after discovering her new security camera had been recording without her knowledge. She had believed it would be inactive for a few days following installation.
She recounted the amusing mishap, saying: "I get him round the other day because I needed something else putting up, and he goes, 'I'll have a look at what we're doing to make sure the angle is alright on that camera', he said, 'It's been going for the last couple of days'.
"I went, 'I beg your pardon? !' He said, 'Oh yeah, I've downloaded the app', he said, 'I just need to make sure the angle is right'."
Talking to her co-star Jamie, Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda cheekily pondered: "Can you imagine what I've got up to in my garden in a couple of days?".
As Jamie teased about her potential antics, Amanda jovially admitted to gardening in the nude and even flashed her husband Chris Hughes as a joke. She said: "I'm always naked in my back garden.
"I've definitely been naked, and for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him, because I thought this is funny and I went 'wahoo' [flashing] like that."
The camera's inconspicuous position made it easy to forget, Amanda noted, explaining that it blended seamlessly with her drainpipe. Mortified by the oversight, she confessed: "I had no idea it was up, and now Andy is going to be reviewing this footage and I need it all deleted," she revealed.
Amanda revealed that the electrician had set up a system allowing him to monitor the camera via his mobile phone, with all footage being saved digitally. She humorously admitted, "It exists! Naked lawnmowing and me flashing my boobs to my husband,".
Jamie suggested that Amanda's antics could be a hit on television, to which she responded with a jest. "I'd go [to] Netflix, Netflix can have it," she joked.
In a light-hearted plea, presumably broadcasted, Amanda called out for her electrician's attention: "If Andy is listening, get round [to] my house! Delete [the footage from] Monday and Tuesday."
She then added, half in jest but also seriously concerned, "And I'm not joking Andy, I need that camera turned off because I've got all the school mums coming round, and that is terrible."
