Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has been on the panel since the show's first series back in 2007, and has now opened up on how she would feel if Simon Cowell decided to axe her
Britain's Got Talent stalwart Amanda Holden has opened up about her feelings should Simon Cowell choose to remove her from the ITV show's panel. This comes after she criticised one of his decisions that has affected the programme.
Ahead of the BGT final on Saturday night, Amanda confessed that she had been "complaining" about her boss's refusal to let the judges "do the walk-downs at the start of the show any more, which we used to love".
The glamorous star, renowned for her stunning on-screen dresses, explained how she and her fellow judges had previously enjoyed showcasing their outfits during these walk-downs.
Amanda, who has been a part of BGT since its inaugural episode 18 years ago, admitted to The Sun's TV Mag: "If you wore a big ball gown, that was perfect, so it's more of a casual affair now, which is annoying."
When asked how she would react if Simon decided to drop her from the judging panel and replace her with another celebrity, she confessed she would attempt to be "respectful" of his decision, but would inevitably feel "gutted" by it.
Amanda told the publication: "If he did decide to do something with it or change it up a bit, then I'd be respectful of that because he knows what he's doing.
"I just would always like to know beforehand, but that's the only thing I've ever said. It would be a blow for the fact that I enjoy doing it, but whoever took over I would wish well.
"I'd be gutted, because it's one of my favourite things to be part of, and I adore working with Simon, but I've had a good run. I was expecting to do five years and now I'm on 18."
The Heart FM presenter shared her ambition to reach the 20-year mark on the show, suggesting it would be a significant achievement.
Well-known for her candid nature, Amanda has recently declared she doesn't fret over Ofcom complaints regarding her bold Britain's Got Talent dresses, as all her outfits are pre-approved.
Explaining to Closer Magazine, she remarked: "I'm always asked about the Ofcom complaints, but every outfit on the show is checked before I leave my dressing room, so I'm never worried. I think people should have fun with fashion!".
Amanda’s wardrobe choices on the judging panel, often featuring low-cut designs, have previously sparked thousands of complaints to the regulator.
Still, the television personality has expressed that she "really loves" her outfit selections for the show.
