Amanda Holden once unveiled a dramatic new look ahead of the Britain's Got Talent final but was left regretting the decision moments later, admitting she couldn't wait to change it
Amanda Holden admits she regretted having a “drastic” new look ahead of the Britain’s Got Talent live final. The 54-year-old has been a judge on the hit ITV show since 2007.
But during the 2010 series, just before the final, Amanda said she decided it was time to cut off her luscious locks. It prompted Amanda to ask her stylist if she could go for a classic bob haircut.
The TV star however told Heart Radio listeners that she “didn’t like” the new look. She made the revelation after a British bride opted for a haircut between her ceremony and wedding reception.

Newlywed Elly was filmed as hairdresser George Curran cut her hair into a bob, similar to that worn by reality TV star Sofia Richie. Elly, sipping on a tequila, can be heard saying: “I really regret this. If I don't like it, can you give me free hair extensions next week?”
Make-up artist Katie Daisy later informed viewers that Elly was happy with her look. Amanda however revealed she was less impressed by her own transformation.

Speaking on Heart Radio, she said: “The headlines today, there’s a woman who got married and, for her second outfit look, she had her stylist cut her hair into a bob. You know how Sofia Richie has just had a bob? The same guy did this girl’s hair.
“So she gets married and she’s got long, flowing, tresses, and in the evening she’s had a couple of shots of tequila, she’s super nervous, and she’s cut her hair off. I have to say, it looks insane.
“I did it for Britain’s Got Talent, I cut my hair. I had a lovely Ben Cooke morning.
“He got, he said, ‘What do you want me to do with your hair for the final?’ and I said, ‘Let’s give me a bob’. He said, ‘Are you sure?’ and I went, ‘Yeah’. I didn’t like it.”

Heart’s entertainment reporter Ashley Roberts, the former Pussycat Dolls singer, told Amanda she had a photo of the two of them when Amanda sported the bob. And while Amanda thought the style was “cute,” she admits she was keen for her hair to grow out again.
She added: “I couldn’t wait for it to grow. It’s cute, it was a great cut, but you know when you just go, ‘Oh, drastic’. I miss my hair. I have dreams when I have my haircut now and I don’t want it cut.”
Amanda has become well known for her long flowing blonde locks. And while many celebrities have begun to embrace their natural greys, the star says she has no intention of going au-natural.
She told RTE : “I will always be blonde. Each to their own – I have some friends that are embracing age, some people that aren’t.
“My mum stopped dyeing her own hair around 60 and she’s got really gorgeous, soft-coloured grey hair. I’ll always go ‘Oh god, Mummy, can you just put a bit of colour back in?’ But for me, it’s not something I’m going to do."
