Amanda Holden has told her Heart Breakfast co-star, Jamie Theakston, to "stop it" live on air after he appeared to make a sly dig at the Beckhams and their children

Amanda Holden firmly told her Heart Breakfast co-host Jamie Theakston to "stop it" during a live broadcast after he made an indirect jibe at the Beckhams and their offspring.
On the programme yesterday (Wednesdsy, June 4) Ashley Roberts, formerly of the Pussycat Dolls, dished out some gossip about one of the stars of hit show The White Lotus star.
The gossip centred around Patrick Schwarzenegger, who appears as Saxon Ratliff in the popular series' third season. He is also the son of Hollywood icon and ex-Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Despite being the offspring of such a high-profile figure, the 31 year old actor is determined to forge his own path and distance himself from the "nepo baby" tag. Ashley mentioned that despite his reservations, he was advised against changing his surname.
Amanda chimed in with her take on the matter: "I tell you what I'm not enjoying, I'm not enjoying that whole nepo baby, nepo baby. It's everywhere. It's like the latest craze that the press are using," reports Gloucestershire Live.

She continued, expressing her views on children of celebrities who succeed on their own merits: "For people's children that are actually doing really well off their own backs - and I'm not including mine in this, I'm just saying - do you know what I mean?"
The term "nepo baby" has gained traction as a label for individuals who benefit from their family ties, often used when they have famous parents.
Jamie then contributed his opinion on the matter, suggesting that the label "takes away from their efforts". Ashley added that Patrick had expressed a deep passion for acting and had dedicated "so much time and so much effort" to his profession.
Amanda remarked: "If you're not talented, it doesn't matter who you're related to, you will not make it."
To which Jamie softly countered with the suggestion that he could name a "couple of examples" of offspring of celebrities who that doesn't apply to, leading Amanda to challenge him to name them.
She swiftly replied with a playful comeback after Jamie said "maybe a Beckham," saying: "Stop it! I won't have their names sullied on this show". Ashley, sensing potential conflict, swiftly attempted to steer the conversation away, proposing they "abort this mission".

The Beckham family is no stranger to such accusations. Cruz Beckham, the third eldest child of David and Victoria, faced criticism in 2024 when he shared a song teaser on Instagram.
As one commenter insinuated that his success was due to "mega money and training", Cruz retorted: "Not at all. Just a guitar", yet following more rebuke, he also remarked that "Jesus was also a nepo baby" before retracting the comment within 12 hours.
Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of the celebrity couple, has similarly encountered 'nepo baby' scrutiny. In an interview with Grazia, he recognised his advantages, stating he "couldn't help" his origins.
He added: "There's always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you're kind to people, that's all that matters."
