Amber Portwood has had enough of Teen Mom.

Following rumors that she was fired from the latest series in the franchise, Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, the reality star wants to set the record straight, saying that while she is in fact exiting the show, that it was her decision to leave.

"Not only am I not being let go," she said about the reports in a recent TikTok live session, as seen in a video TMZ posted March 15. "I quit three days ago."

She said she told one of the show's producers that she was quitting and that she is prioritizing her mental health.

"My mental health," she told fans in the TikTok live session, as seen in another video reposted by a fan March 15, "is so much more important to me right now."

E! News has reached out to MTV, Teen Mom's production company and distributor, for comment and has not heard back.

Portwood, 34, began her reality TV career in 2009 as a cast member on the franchise's predecessor, 16 and Pregnant. There, she documented her life with-then boyfriend Gary Shirley and her pregnancy with their first child, daughter Leah, who is now 16 and lives with her dad, his wife Kristina Shirley and their daughter Emilee, 9.

Portwood—who also shares son James, 6, with ex Andrew Glennon—went on to star on Teen Mom, which also debuted in 2009.

In 2015, she reunited with fellow longtime cast members Farrah AbrahamCatelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout on the sequel series Teen Mom OG. Portwood, the latter two and several Teen Mom 2 stars went on to star together in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, which premiered in 2022 and is currently on season two.

Portwood has aired her grievances about Teen Mom several times in past years. "Sad to say but I'm not going to be apart of #Teenmomog [sic]," she wrote on Twitter, now X, in 2016. "The way I have been portrayed and treated is unfair."

Two years later, she tweeted, "I have to quit this show," adding, "The heartache this show has put me through is too much to bear anymore."

Then in early 2019, she appeared to have second thoughts.
