Breanna Nix Performs At The Grand Ole Opry
It hasn’t been long since Breanna Nix was performing on the American Idol stage, and now she’s already checked off a major career milestone by making her debut at the iconic Grand Ole Opry!
On Thursday, June 5, Breanna Nix was part of a special lineup of artists who performed at the Grand Ole Opry.
Breanna’s moment in the Opry Circle came less than a month after she appeared on American Idol Season 23.
She made it all the way to the Top 3, along with fellow finalists Jamal Roberts and John Foster.
Fans first got to know Breanna when she introduced herself as a stay-at-home mom during her audition. She ended up wowing the judges with her performance of newcomer judge Carrie Underwood’s hit “Jesus, Take The Wheel.”
Her audition also gave viewers one of the most adorable moments of the season. She brought her young son into the audition room with her, and while she sang, he fell asleep in Carrie’s arms.
Throughout the season, she continued to perform faith-based songs and built a fan base across the country.
In the end, she finished in third place, with John Foster coming in second and Jamal Roberts taking home the win.
After her time on Idol, Breanna quickly found success with her debut single, “Higher.” The song shot to the No. 1 spot of the iTunes Country chart and stayed in the Top 10 for several days after its release.
