Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Amy Dowden attracted plenty of praise when she took to Instagram to talk about a new venture – her co-stars were full of support
Messages of love and encouragement have been pouring in for Amy Dowden as she joyously announced her comeback following a poignant yet jubilant evening with one of her ' Strictly Come Dancing ' colleagues.
Strictly fans will likely know that the professional dancer has teamed up with pal Carlos Gu for their exclusive joint headline tour. Both part of the Strictly Come Dancing professional squad, Amy and Carlos kicked off their headline tour called 'Reborn' last month, to the delight of crowds nationwide.
Their West End dream was realised on Tuesday night (April 1), as they took to the stage at London's Adelphi Theatre as part of their tour, cheered on by 'Strictly' peers such as Shirley Ballas, Katya Jones, Dianne Buswell, and Nadiya Bychkova in attendance during the gala event.
The following day, Wednesday (April 2), saw Amy take to social media to share her thoughts on the prior night's success. Posting an endearing snapshot with Carlos, the 35-year-old dancer beamed: "These are the faces of two happy friends who performed their show on a west end stage last night to the most fabulous, busy and supportive audience with the most talented cast!"
Overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support, Amy expressed her heartfelt gratitude on social media: "The love and support we've received has just been overwhelming and I can't thank you all enough. Last night was a special night which will stay in my heart forever! AMY IS BACK! Forever grateful #reborn #whatanight #dreamscometrue."
The Strictly community and fans alike rushed to respond with warm words of praise. Dianne Buswell posted: "Loved it." Tasha Ghouri chimed in: "Incredible show!!"
Gorka Marquez shared his regret at missing the event, posting: "[Clapping emojis] so gutted I missed it." Fans also took to social media to share their admiration.
User @xlaurennk wrote: "Amy is back. What a truly magical night, seeing you headline the West End was so special" and @jowitasdowden replied: "So incredibly proud of you for absolutely everything! Grateful and blessed to be supporting you. Amy is back better than ever."
