Andy Cohen Sent Captain Sandy Yawn ‘Generous’ Wedding Gift

It must be nice being in the good graces of Andy Cohen. Apparently, the Bravo head honcho is a great gifter, at least that’s what Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean said. If you recall, she just got married to her partner Leah Shafer. Andy didn’t make it to the ceremony, but Sandy revealed that he got them a “generous gift.”

A gift fit for a captain

Captain Sandy spilled the tea to Us Weekly. They covered all of the details of her intimate wedding. Naturally, it took place on a superyacht. Sandy said that the guestlist was tight, but of course, she wanted Andy there. Ultimately, he couldn’t make it but still came through with a wonderful gift.

“He was very generous — he sent us a very generous gift. He actually wanted to come,” Sandy recalled.

She continued, “It would have been awesome to have him there but it was really sweet — his message and his gift.”

Of course, we’re nosey, so we’re dying to know what this generous gift was. Everyone has a different definition of “generous.” For some people, a “generous gift” is a $20 Red Lobster gift card. Unfortunately, Captain Sandy didn’t dive into the specific details of the present they received. However, she did reveal that Leah and Andy have a sweet little relationship of their own.

“He responds to Leah’s messages. It’s really cute,” Sandy revealed, while Leah added that he’s “so supportive.”

Although Andy couldn’t make it to the big day, Captain Sandy did have some Bravo representation at the ceremony. She said that Aesha Scott and Kate Chastain were both able to make it to the ceremony. Plus, she also included one of the executive producers of Below Deck Med.

“We only had a capacity of 60 people. So with our family and our intimate friends, it was hard to invite people that we really wanted there from Bravo,” Sandy explained of her on-deck wedding.

“So we had the people that have been in our lives since the beginning. Because they saw me, [when] I was single when I started the show. Then everybody knows when I met Leah because that’s all I talked about.”

You can watch the newlywed on your TV screens when Below Deck Mediterranean returns to Bravo on Monday, June 3 at 9/8c.
