Andy Cohen gave an update on casting for the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” On the March 26 episode of Sirius XM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” the Bravo producer addressed rumors that some cast members will not return following the dark season 15 finale left several relationships broken.
Cohen also fielded a question about rumors that two stars from ”Summer House” could be in the running for RHONY apples.
The 15th season of “RHONY”The Real Housewives of New York City” starred Brynn Whitfield, Ubah Hassan, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons, and Racquel Chevremont. Rebecca Minkoff appeared as a “friend” of the cast.
Andy Cohen Said It’s Possible That ‘Not All’ RHONY Cast Members Will Be Back
On Cohen’s show, entertainment expert Mariah Smith asked him about the cast for RHONY two years after the show was rebooted with a group of all-new women.
“If you can’t tell us who, which you probably can’t, can you tell us at least how many of the remaining Real Housewives of New York City will be coming back the next season?” Smith asked.
“I can’t tell you, because we haven’t fully decided yet,” Cohen replied.
When Smith asked him if there was a chance that “not all” of the women would return, Cohen confirmed, “Yes.”
One RHONY cast member has already announced her exit. In February, Minkoff posted to Instagram to confirm that she would not be returning to the franchise after just one season. The fashion designer explained that recent world events inspired her to reassess her life and put a bigger focus on her family and other career ventures.
As of this writing, no other RHONY stars have talked about leaving, but a casting announcement posted on Shed Media’s Instagram page teased the search for potential newcomers for next season.
Andy Cohen Hinted There’s Interest in Lindsay Hubbard
On his radio show, Cohen was also asked about rumors that veteran “Summer House” stars Lindsay Hubbard and Paige DeSorbo could be in consideration to move to the RHONY cast.
“You know, it’s interesting,” Cohen replied. “I mean, we haven’t really had those discussions seriously at Bravo. I did bring one of them up in a meeting.”
“First of all, I don’t see Paige at this moment in her life saying that’s my next step,” he added. “And Lindsay, I think has been kind of posting about it, and I think I can’t say anything more about it.”
During a February 2025 interview on Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap,” Hubbard admitted that a lot of people have suggested that RHONY would be a better fit for her than “Summer House” now that she’s a mom.
“But I think it’s not up to me,“ she explained. “It’s up to the powers that be, and I think they need to figure it out.”
“I’m here for it all,” Hubbard added. “I am here for any and all TV shows because clearly my life just moves at the speed of light, and you need a camera on me because [expletive] just happens, and it makes for good TV.”
