Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was sleepy. So, the show said goodbye to some peaches. Kandi Burruss, a cast member for 14 seasons, departed, as did Shereé Whitfield, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross. At this point, Atlanta fans didn’t know what was happening with the beloved franchise. Now Bravo’s national treasure Andy Cohen weighed in about RHOA’s future. Spoiler alert: the future looks bright.

Andy Cohen “is so excited” for viewers to see Season 16 of RHOA

Finally, it was announced that Drew Sidora and Kenya Moore were staying with the franchise. Plus, fan-favorite Porsha Williams was returning to claim her peach. In addition, Cynthia Bailey was going to be a friend of the housewives. That sounded like a solid line-up, but some newbies also signed on. So, Kelli Ferrell, Brittany Eady, and Angela Oakley joined the show. And after years of popping up on RHOA, Shamea Morton Mwangi nabbed a peach. However, Drew reported that the newbies didn’t deliver. Yikes!

Then, Kenya exited the show after she was suspended. Reportedly she allegedly displayed sexually explicit photos of Brittany at her business launch. So, Phaedra Parks was invited back to film for the final weeks of the season. Frick and Frack were back, baby! And Cynthia couldn’t be happier about Phaedra’s return. “I guess [you] had a lot of time to prepare because when I tell you, she came in and she came in hot. All of her fans are gonna be very, very excited to have her back,” Cynthia explained.

Plus, Andy is enthusiastic about the upcoming season. “We’re really gratified with what’s on the slate for next year. [For instance], the new Atlanta, which I’m seven episodes in of watching, it’s outstanding,” Andy told Deadline. “I’m so excited for people to see this, and they’re going to see it early next year.”

RHOA fans really need a win after several snoozy seasons. Fingers crossed that Season 16 is a return to the old-school RHOA.

Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 will air on Bravo in early 2025.
