On the January 14 episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” the Bravo host addressed the upcoming finale with cast members Sai De Silva and Erin Lichy, and they all hinted that fans should be prepared for something they’ve never seen before.

“The finale next week is very dark,” Cohen stated in a somber tone. “It’s very surprising what happened. And it kind of all almost takes place in that same night,” he added, referencing the penultimate episode that ended with the women arguing during a cast trip to Puerto Rico.

DeSilva noted to Cohen that things got so bad that filming had to be broken up. She also described the situation as “a roller coaster of emotions.” “Like what door do I pick next?” she asked.

“It’s a finale like we’ve not had on the Housewives before,” Cohen added.

“I think people are going to be really shocked, “ De Silva agreed.

In addition to De Silva and Lichy, RHONY Season 15 starred Ubah Hassan, Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, and Jenna Lyons as well as newcomers Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff.

Andy Cohen Said Something ‘Upsetting’ Happened During Filming

This is not the first time Cohen has hinted at dark drama for the RHONY cast. The Bravo host and producer previously teased that something “kind of upsetting” went down during filming and the drama spilled into the reunion taping.

During a December 2024 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Cohen said the finale set things up for a “really good reunion.”

“I know people have a lot to say about this season of ‘The Real Housewives of New York,’” he admitted. “I think that the finale sets up the reunion very well, because you will see that there is something very controversial, kind of upsetting, at the end of the finale. There was a lot at this reunion.”

Just before the reunion taping, Cohen told The Daily Dish that the finale episode was “pretty shocking.” He predicted that Whitfield would be in the “hot seat” at the reunion. “I don’t want to say anything without giving the finale away, so I will say that as a group, this is not a cohesive unit on any level,” he added.

Given Cohen’s latest comments about a “dark” finale, fans took to Reddit to speculate that perhaps someone got physically violent—although that’s not unheard of on a Housewives show.

“No idea what the reveal could be but presumably it’s Ubah vs Brynn. The cast seems to be rallying around Brynn in the clip?” another Reddit user wrote of the finale preview.

Filming for RHONY Was Cut Short, 1 Cast Member Claimed

The RHONY season 15 trailer previously teased a major blowout between Whitfield and Hassan that has not aired in full yet. At one point, Hassan threatened to quit the show.

According to Parade, RHONY cast member Taank spoke about her co-stars’ drama while at Hayu FanFest in late 2024. “We actually had to cut filming short,” Taank stated of season 15. “Someone got put on a plane, and someone got shipped to a hotel. We had to separate, and they couldn’t film anymore.”

The RHONY season 15 finale, titled “Paradise Lost,” airs Tuesday, January 21 on Bravo.
