Anthony Richardson Awarded Best TE in Latest NFL Mock Draft

The No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft saw limited time his rookie year due to injury, and was on-and-off in his second season.

Learning the NFL game can be tricky, and if young quarterbacks are going to succeed they will need to learn quickly, as well as being put in good situations by the staff and ownership.

The latest CBS Sports mock draft helps Richardson, as they have the Indianapolis Colts selecting tight end sensation from Penn State Tyler Warren with the No. 14 pick in the draft, giving Richardson an elite weapon.

The tight end position is a massive need for the Colts, as their leading tight end in receiving yards in 2024 was Kylen Grandson with just 182 receiving yards.

Having Jonathan Taylor in the backfield helps alleviate some of the hardships, but reliable pass catchers are needed to be successful.

Alec Pierce and Josh Downs have developed into a great pass catchers in the pros, and Michael Pittman Jr. has been reliable for years, leaving them with a big gap at tight end.

For Penn State, Warren took snaps in almost every position on the offense, which would give the Colts flexibility in every facet of the offense to run plays that give Richardson a much higher success rate.

A match made in heaven for Richardson would be an elite talent such as Warren, and time will tell what the Colts have in store for his future.
