“Married to Medicine” didn’t work for Phaedra Parks.
Phaedra Parks will officially return to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” in several episodes. With ratings declining something serious amid Kenya Moore‘s ousting, Andy Cohen believes Phaedra will turn the tides. Andy insinuated that Phaedra really shook things up when she briefly filmed for Season 16. This was supposedly the reason why Phaedra managed to reclaim her peach after not appearing on the show for several seasons. As many know, Phaedra was already filming “Married to Medicine.” However, she departed the show after a messy couples’ trip resulting in Apollo Nida appearing with his estranged wife. Dr. Heavenly Kimes sent the invites. She said Apollo originally told her Sherien wasn’t attending.
When Apollo and Sherien arrived, they confronted Phaedra about her dating one of Apollo’s “friends” named Cheick. Phaedra brought him as her date for the couples’ trip after meeting him at Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford’s speed dating event.
Phaedra refused to defend her dating choice. During a green screen interview, Phaedra alleged that Sherien was Apollo’s mistress when she was pregnant with their youngest. So she thought it was disrespectful to see Sherien on the trip. And she decided it was time to end her time on “Married to Medicine.”
She felt the OGs of “Married to Medicine” were nothing but “mean girls” trying to set up drama in life.
Apollo Nida clapped back weeks later on social media.
Although the most recent season of “Married to Medicine” ended weeks ago, Apollo responded the other day on Instagram.
He wrote, “First off, let me just say this, people can flag the post all they want. You’re not going to silence me and shut me down. There are so many platforms out here. Social media is ubiquitous.”
Apollo continued, “2nd: @queensherien wasn’t a mistress, her morals and standards wouldn’t allow such a thing. The narrative and BS that Phaedra has been brainwashing you all with is completely ridiculous. To sit here and say that I was sleeping around while she was pregnant with my child is completely a LIE, then to label Sherien as the other woman is totally insane. Phaedra loves to fabricate just for her own pleasure The timeline doesn’t make sense. My child was born already when I met @queensherien and Phaedra was doing her own thing.”
He also said Phaedra didn’t tell Sherien she was bad-bodied to her face, unlike what the episode portrayed.
Apollo concluded the message claiming Sherien is a wonderful person.
“4th: Most of you couldn’t walk a day in Sherien’s shoes. She is dedicated, loyal, loving, brilliant, a loving mother, a caring person who sacrifices her own wants and needs for the betterment of other people. She doesn’t run when times get hard, she is a genuine friend when you need her most. I can attest to this firsthand. I love you and I’m so sorry for putting you through this mess Sherie #nidaluxuryhomes #nidafitness #APTHEGREAT.”
Sherien filed for divorce earlier this year and accused Apollo of domestic abuse.
