Ariana Madix Gives Surprising Scheana Shay Friendship Update

Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay held a complicated friendship during the final seasons of Vanderpump Rules. As much as Scheana wanted to present as a girl’s girl, her efforts often failed. But after Ariana dumped her cheating man, Scheana finally proved she stood with Ariana by calling her ex out on Bravo. However, when the VPR Season 11 reunion aired, Scheana and her allegiances were back on the fence. So, where does Ariana now stand with Scheana?

Where does Scheana Shay and Ariana Madix’s friendship stand?

Katie Maloney saw right through Tom Sandoval from Season 1 of VPR and on. However, it took her new BFF, Ariana, many years to share her beliefs. But once Ariana saw the light, she knew that the only way for her to heal from this mess was to cease sharing mutual friendships with Tom.

This feeling made her friendship with Scheana tricky, as Scheana and Tom shared a longstanding friendship, both on Bravo and off. However, Scheana briefly sided with Ariana, as she also felt betrayed by Tom. But as Season 11 rolled along, Scheana started entertaining thoughts of peace with this man, which saw Ariana retreating. Overall, Ariana desperately needed to protect her peace by every means necessary, so up her walls went with Scheana.

Several beats have since passed, so when Bustle caught up with Ariana, they asked who she was still in contact with from her former series. On Scheana, her answer was shocking but nice to hear. “Scheana and I will say hi every now and again,” Ariana answered, adding, “It’s about to be her birthday, so we’ll check in.”

Are Ariana and Scheana best friends? It seems not. But they are at least cordial now, so three cheers for baby steps!
