Fans of Vanderpump Rules are well aware that the show is in limbo. While a recent report stated it will return, there are also rumors of a reboot. Because of this, many cast members are pursuing other endeavors for the time being. Most notably, Ariana Madix has been super busy. Now, she’s sharing what she knows about season 12, who she speaks to from the cast, and why she has more respect for Andy Cohen.
As many fans know, Ariana has forged a new path for herself. She has done Broadway, she and Katie Maloney have opened a sandwich shop ‘Something About Her,’ and the Vanderpump Rules star hosted the latest season of Love Island. This all means she’s probably not itching to get back in front of the Bravo cameras just yet.
Recently, Ariana, 39, spoke to E! News and opened up about what she knows about season 12 of Vanderpump Rules. When asked about the next installment of the hit reality TV show, she simply said, “I don’t know.”
She also gave an update on her interactions with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay following their season 11 drama.
She says, “I haven’t been in touch with Lala at all. Scheana and I talk every once and a while. I love to see her doing well and I think she’s also in the same boat as me.”
The interviewer then asked her about the rest of the VPR cast. She responded bluntly, “I don’t talk to any of them, so you’d have to ask them.”
However, there is an exception to that. Naturally, she talks to her ‘Something About Her’ business partner. According to Ariana, “I talk to Katie all the time. I don’t know how she feels. We’ve just been focused on our business.”
Ariana also responded to Love Island becoming more popular since she joined as the show’s host. She says she’s not surprised by more people tuning in.
“Not surprised in the fact that I’ve loved that show for so many years. So I’ve been telling everyone for years and years, ‘This is the best show, you have to watch it.’ So I’m a little bit like, ‘I told you. It’s the best.'”
Ariana also recently spoke to Page Six following the Love Island reunion, which she recently received some criticism for from one of the cast members. The outlet asked her if she had a “newfound respect” for Andy after serving as a reunion host. The star responded, “Oh, always!”
She added, “And he gave me the best advice beforehand. He just said, ‘Don’t be afraid to go out there and to be you and put your own stamp on it.’ Obviously, he’s done so many reunions. He’s literally, like, the king of it! So it was really amazing to be able to get some advice from him before doing it.”
She goes on, “As host, there is leeway for you to feel how you feel and have a bit of your own opinion, but at the same time, you do have to be as impartial as you can. It’s tough sometimes because you’re watching all these things happening, and you’re rooting for everyone to find love, and you’re rooting for everyone to be treated properly. But of course, life happens.”
Fans can watch both Love Island and Vanderpump Rules on Peacock.
