Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Luyendyk got engaged on Season 22 of “The Bachelor.”
Since then, the two have gotten married and have welcomed children Alessi and twins Senna and Lux, and they are currently expecting baby number four!
And as they get closer to welcoming their little one, Arie has decided to build a DIY chicken coop for his family’s chickens called the “Hatchelor Mansion.”
The former Bachelor took to Instagram this week to share more about his project and give an in-depth tour of the finished coop.
Arie painted the outside of the chicken coop black, with a wooden door and a custom sign that says “Hatchelor Mansion EST. 2025” and shared, “I’m sure some of you caught the coop build, but I wanna show you the inside of the Hatchelor Mansion.”
The video then shows the inside of the coop, which has been painted an olive green and has pictures of each chicken in a golden frame hung on the wall.
He explained, “First off, Lux picked the color and he helped paint. And I of course had to hang all the pictures of Season 1 of ‘The Hatchelor.’”
Arie then shared a look inside the main part of the coop, which holds the chickens’ feeders, dust bath, and little pockets to perch.
“I’ve read a lot of stuff online on how to keep these chickens entertained. First things first, we have to lay some sand,” he said. “The dust bath was a hit. If there’s any other suggestions, let me know. Right now, the chickens are doing good.”
People filled the comments of the video with their reactions and gave some fun ideas.
Lauren wrote, “You have no idea how much I am loving your chicken daddy era😂❤️”
One person suggested, “I love the framed pictures! So perfect! Maybe add some rose decals on the walls 🤣”
And another person joked, “Love it! When’s the first one on one date? 🌹🐓” while someone chimed in, “Hatchelor Mansion is iconic 😂😂😂”
We love it! What a fun idea and Arie did a great job building the chicken coop. Plus, we are loving the name. Cheers to the Hatchelor Mansion!
