One of the biggest reasons that the Cardinals are more talented this season is due to the first-round selection of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Arizona has been needing a true No. 1 wide receiver that they can build around long-term. Murray was one of the biggest winners from the NFL offseason.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, Murray spoke out about his young wide receiver. He could not be more excited to get on the field with Harrison.Ezoic

“He’s been good at football his whole life. He’s been groomed by one of the best – his pops (Marvin Harrison Sr.), obviously, a Hall of Famer. I have no doubt that he’ll go do his thing this year and win whatever he wants to. I know how much he loves the game just sitting there talking to him.”

Murray continued forward, dropping a short and sweet sentence about how much Harrison is going to mean to the team.

“But his energy, what he’s going to mean to the team, I think everybody should be excited.”

Harrison offers massive potential for the Arizona Cardinals. During his college football career with Ohio State, he was an absolutely superstar.

In 2023 with the Buckeyes, he ended up catching 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns. Back in 2022, he caught 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns.Ezoic

Those numbers should translate easily to the NFL. He’s an elite route runner, has good size, has top-notch athleticism, and has the drive to win and be great.

Expect to see Murray and Harrison form a lethal duo for the Arizona Cardinals starting this season. Picking him at No. 4 overall will go down as a move that helped turn the franchise back into a playoff contender when it’s all said and done.
