As “Vanderpump Rules” Reboots, Lisa Has a Message for the Haters

Lisa Vanderpump isn’t staying quiet anymore.

The reality TV queen has spoken up about the toxic side of fandom, calling out cyberbullying and urging people to be kinder online. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 64-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum thanked her fans but made one thing crystal clear, reality stars are real people too. And they deserve respect.

“To all of our wonderful fans: I’m so grateful for your passion and support for my shows,” Lisa wrote. “But I must say this, no one deserves to be bullied, harassed, or targeted online.” Her message came with a powerful reminder that reality TV personalities aren’t characters, they’re humans trying to navigate high-pressure lives under the spotlight. She ended her post with, “Let’s uplift, not tear down. Kindness always wins. #StopCyberBullying.”

It’s not just a vague call for kindness either. Lisa Vanderpump’s cyberbullying message comes at a time when social media hate towards cast members of shows like Vanderpump Rules has become increasingly nasty. And with Season 12 of the hit show returning with an entirely new cast, she knows the backlash could be worse than ever.

Speaking to E! News, Lisa hinted that the rebooted season will have a “different energy.” She’s not trying to recreate the original Vanderpump Rules, and she’s totally fine with that. “We’ll go back to the premise of the complications of running a restaurant and the staff in it,” she said, adding that “it always has a story to tell.”

She admitted it was a bittersweet decision to move on from the original cast, but also a necessary one. “Stories were kind of closing up a little bit,” she explained. “I think people, they weren’t that shocked that we decided to do this now.” Even though she had a “wonderful experience” filming with the OGs, Lisa is clearly ready to shift gears and start fresh.

She’s not the only one urging fans to keep an open mind. Vanderpump Rules executive producer Alex Baskin recently said on The Viall Files podcast that the new season is going to be a reset, not a repeat. “We’re not trying to make the show that we did before,” he said. “You can’t do that. It’s very big shoes to fill.”

Between the cast overhaul and her public stand against hate, Lisa Vanderpump is once again proving why she’s the unbothered boss of Bravo. Her message is loud, clear, and needed more than ever, watch the show, love the drama, but leave the hate at the door.
