Atlаntа Fаlconѕ Poѕt-Super Bowl 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Drаft: Fаlconѕ fіx defenѕe to buіld tһe future аround Mіcһаel Penіx Jr.

The Super Bowl has officially concluded, marking the end of another tremendous NFL season. Teams are now shifting gears to the offseason, making plans for free agency and the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

The Atlanta Falcons enter the offseason fresh off of a mixed season. The promise of Kirk Cousins fell apart midseason and ultimately ended up costing the team a shot at the playoffs. However, rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. looks like a potential franchise quarterback, giving the team hope for the future.

What steps can they take in the 2025 NFL Draft to vault them back into the playoffs?

ESPN's 2025 NFL Power Rankings aren't Hopeful for Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons Post-Super Bowl 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 15: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

I almost held off on giving the team a pass rusher here, as Arnold Ebiketie and Matthew Judon came alive as the season ended. However, the Falcons still finished right at the bottom of the league in getting after the quarterback. To cloud the evaluation further, Judon is a pending free agent.

Mike Green is an unbelievable mover, with rare explosiveness, agility, and quickness. He's shot up draft boards this season and will continue to do so after his dominant Senior Bowl performance. Don't be surprised when he pushes for a top-ten selection in April.

Round 2, Pick 46: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

AJ Terrell is still a top-flight cornerback, but the rest of Atlanta's cornerback room played pretty poorly in 2024. To make matters worse, Mike Hughes is set to be a free agent.

Maxwell Hairston has the athleticism and temperament to play both in the slot and outside, making him an intriguing versatile piece for Raheem Morris's defense.

Round 4, Pick 117: Maxen Hook, SAF, Toledo

While Jessie Bates is one of the game's best safeties, the rest of the Falcons' safety room is set to be free agents. As talented as he is, Bates can't do it all on his own.

Maxen Hook is an instinctive athlete who plays with terrific awareness and physicality. He would add a tone-setting kind of presence to the Falcons' secondary and help shore up the back end of their defense.

Round 7, Pick 244: LaJohntay Wester, WR, Colorado

The top three players of Atlanta's wide receiver room feel set with Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Ray-Ray McCloud, but the rest of that room is full of pending free agents and undrafted free agents. They should continue investing in playmakers to fill out that room.

LaJohntay Wester is one of the most productive wide receivers in college football, playing with intriguing quickness and great hands that bely his slight frame.
