Bijan Robinson just wrapped up his second season with the Atlanta Falcons where he was electric for the entire campaign. For his efforts, the former Texas Longhorns running back has now achieved a major career milestone.
Robinson was named to the NFC roster for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games on Monday, securing his first career Pro Bowl selection as revealed by a report by the team's senior reporter, Tori McElhaney. He will serve as a replacement for Saquon Barkley, who will not participate in the event due to the Philadelphia Eagles clinching a spot in Super Bowl LIX.
Starting all 17 games this season, Robinson stepped up in a big way for the Falcons and improved on his stellar rookie campaign the year prior. The UT product finished third in the NFL in rushing with 1,456 yards on 304 carries and punched in 14 touchdowns throughout the season.
He was also a reliable pass-catching option out of the backfield for the Falcons, hauling in 61 targets for 431 yards and a score through the air.
His biggest performance came in the team's Week 18 season finale showdown against the Carolina Panthers, where he broke off 170 rushing yards on 6.1 yards per carry and two touchdowns. The Falcons were fighting to clinch the NFC South title and make the postseason, but ultimately missed the mark in a 44-38 overtime loss. Still, Robinson's effort left optimism for what the pairing of him and quarterback Michael Penix Jr. can do in the future.
Robinson is the second former Texas player to earn Pro Bowl honors this year behind Brenden Schooler, who is a special teams selection for the AFC following a solid season with the New England Patriots. The skills competition will take place on Thursday and the festivities will wrap up this Sunday with the AFC vs. NFC flag football game in Orlando.
