The Avalanche start the 2024-25 season in Nevada on Oct. 9. against the Vegas Golden Knights. It will be the only regular-season matchup between the two at T-Mobile Arena, as the Avs host the Golden Knights on Nov. 27, 2024 and April 8, 2025.
Colorado faces off against Central Division rivals Chicago, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis and Winnipeg four times each (two home/two away). The Avs play Dallas twice at home and once at American Airlines Center, and host the Utah Hockey Club once at Ball Arena and twice in Salt Lake City.
The regular season includes 12 back-to-back games, and the team's longest home stand is six games from Feb. 26 - March 10. The most home games are in January and March with nine in each month.
The first month of 2025 the Avs face the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers (Jan. 6), Western Conference Champion Edmonton Oilers (Jan. 16) and both 2024 Stanley Cup opponents — Dallas Stars (Jan. 18) and Winnipeg Jets (Jan. 22).
