Avalanche sign Felhaber to two-year deal

   

The Colorado Avalanche have signed Eagles forward Tye Felhaber to a two-year, two-way contract starting this season.

The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Tye Felhaber to a two-year, two-way contract. The contract will carry through the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons. Terms of the contract are yet to be determined. He will remain on an AHL contract with the Colorado Eagles this season, where he has tallied 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) in 23 games.

The gritty forward has played 187 games in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles, Milwaukee Admirals (NSH), Syracuse Crunch (TB), Texas Stars (DAL) and Laval Rocket (MTL) tallying 67 points (33g/34a). Currently. Felhaber is on pace for career highs in both assists and goals in the AHL. Standing at five feet eleven inches tall, Felhaber brings an energetic style of play to whatever line he is on. The Pembroke, Ontario, native plays in all three zones to produce turnovers and goals.

Felhaber has worked his way up through from ECHL where he won the accuracy shooting competition in 6.5 seconds. During his time in the ECHL, he played 71 games, accumulating 83 points (26 goals, 57 assists).

The Avalanche are in search of “locker room guys” with their last two transactions and they certainly found one here. Felhaber always has a smile on his face, even after a loss and is always willing to stop and talk. If the Avalanche needed anyone in their locker room, it is Felhaber.
