The Bold and the Beautifulrecap for Monday, July 28 saw Steffy saying goodbye, the Italy crew taking off, and Finn realizing something is fishy with Liam’s recovery.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) sat to talk about her time away. She explained needing a break from the drama and Finn, while sad his wife was leaving, gave his blessing. However, he did want to discuss Liam’s health with her first.
While Finn was obviously thrilled by the doctors finding their miracle cure, something about it wasn’t sitting right with Finn. Sure, the scans are coming back clean but he has a feeling things aren’t as they seem. Steffy, unable to see past her joy at Liam’s (Scott Clifton) life being spared, was sure Finn found figure it all out by the time she got back.
A Father’s Love
Over at the Spencer estate, the nurse sang Liam’s praises before leaving Bill (Don Diamont) to check in with his son. When Bill slipped up about paying Grace (Cassandra Creech), Liam too notice. And, when he realized his dad paid a cool million to save his life, Liam was speechless. His dad rolled some very expensive dice on a hope and a prayer.
Dollar Bill pointed out it was just money…and he has plenty of money. More than enough. Then, he launched into a heartfelt apology and promised to be a better man and father from here on out. Almost losing Liam because of his own mistakes hit Bill hard. He was sorry and he vowed to do whatever he could to make things right between them.
Curiouser and Curiouser
Later, Finn showed up for a check-in. Bill went to take a call leaving the guys to talk. Liam updated Finn about Steffy playing nice with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Then, Finn dove into asking questions about the surgery. Has he gotten any updates from Grace? Finn then went to check the incisions and was very confused by what he found (and didn’t find) under the bandages. While yes, there was an incision, those stitches seemed a bit too small for a brain tumor operation.
Liam then commented on how he was feeling great. Fine. Really fine. Like, strangely fine. Is that because the incision is so small? Could it have helped in his recovery? Finn wasn’t sold on that theory. And, he’s probably right. While he was trying to figure out what was really going on here, Grace was outside the door listening in and panicking.
The Love Games Heated Up
Meanwhile, Taylor (Rebecca Budig) was across the hall putting Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) in her place. She and Ridge are engaged and that’s that. It’s time for Brooke to back off once and for all. Enough is enough and Taylor was sick of the disrespect. She gave Brooke one last warning before storming off.
No sooner did Taylor leave than Nick (Jack Wagner) popped in to show Brooke his passport. He was ready for some fun in the sun with her in Italy. Brooke was glowing at the prospects. It seems Nick is finally starting to get to her. And, no one is more happy about that than the captain himself.
While the women had it out, Eric (John McCook) and Ridge were also chatting about the upcoming overseas adventure. Eric was all packed up and ready to go and he couldn’t wait to see how the magic of Italy would play out for his son. Eric took off to finish up, leaving just before Taylor slipped in to seductively kiss her man. Soon after, they were interrupted by Steffy who informed them she was taking off for a few weeks to recoup.
As for Eric, he eavesdropped on Nick and Brooke and did not like what he heard. He then followed Nick to the dressing room to take a call. The second he hung up the phone, Eric pounced. He outright told Nick to stand down and leave Brooke alone, but Nick wasn’t having it. He reminded Eric that Ridge has already chosen his future…a future with Taylor. With that, Eric went back to the main office to pick up Ridge and Brooke and get their party started.
