B&B SHOCKER: Thomas Returns — Will Hope Rekindle Their Romance or Stay with Liam?

Now that Matthew Atkinson’s return as Thomas Forrester is official, the speculation about his storyline is sizzling. Is he already married to Paris? Will he come between Carter and Hope? It’s all up in the air… but one Bold & Beautiful star may have just given us a glimpse of what lies ahead.

When Thomas flew off to Paris and Forrester International, he wasn’t alone. With him was his son, Douglas, and his surprise fiancée, Paris Buckingham. No one was more stunned than Hope by this twist, given that Ridge’s son had proposed to her not long before that. Of course, she turned him down, saying she wasn’t ready for marriage, which drove the unforeseen turn of events.

Little to nothing has been reported onscreen about Thomas, Paris and Douglas since their departure and during their many months abroad, but we have to assume they’re not married yet. Why? Surely that would have been mentioned and various Forrester family members would have attended. There’s an outside chance that they quietly tied the knot, but our hunch is that Thomas and Hope will find themselves on the same page… engaged but not yet having made the trip to the altar.

Thomas and Paris are likely coming home due to her mother, Grace’s, incarceration, but perhaps there’s also a plan to wed officially in front of family and friends. If that’s the case, they’ll have to wait for Steffy and her kids to come back from their Luna-induced sabbatical. Any delay would give Thomas time to crack on with Hope… and one of the stars involved seemed to be hinting at just that. 

Mere days after the news broke of Atkinson’s return as Thomas, Annika Noelle took to her Instagram story to share a fan-made montage of Thomas and Hope love scenes set to music that could certainly be construed (and was!) as her teasing a potential “Thope” reunion.

With speculation rife that Daphne will be pregnant with Carter’s baby, leading to heartbreak for Hope, what better timing for Thomas to return? This way, he’ll be right there to help pick up the pieces. Moreover, Hope seems to be ready for marriage now, so maybe things would pan out differently for “Thope” this time. Should Thomas and Hope reunite? Vote!
