B&B Spoilers May 23: Hope Glows While Daphne Crumbles – Carter Chooses His Future!

What to expect on The Bold and the Beautiful

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is overjoyed that Hope (Annika Noelle) still wants to be with him and feels foolish for misunderstanding what he heard the day before (in soap opera time). While he knows it's tragic that Liam is dying, he is still grateful that Hope chose him and understands her need to spend time with Liam (Scott Clifton).

Hope is also thrilled to have Carter back in her life and tells her mother the good news. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is already down in the dumps after a disappointing conversation with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and another failed attempt at wooing Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), so she welcomes more happy news from Hope. Look at how fortunes can change overnight.

Will Hope bother telling Brooke the bad news? Liam has an inoperable brain tumor and doesn't have long to live, so not everything is shiny and bright in Hope's life. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) already told her mother about Liam, and Hope told Carter, so she may as well let Brooke in on the secret, right?

Daphne's life takes a turn

Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) might have remained relatively quiet when Electra (Laneya Grace), Will (Crew Morrow), and Zende (Delon de Metz) broke the news that Steffy had hired Hope back, but she was seething inside. She has convinced herself that Hope is the worst thing to ever happen to Forrester Creations and Carter.

When Daphne visits Carter at his loft, she will likely want to talk about that horrible Hope, but Carter has some news. He was wrong about Hope choosing Liam over her, and he looks forward to spending the rest of his life with Hope. Daphne is confused and devastated, but will she show much emotion since she rarely ever does?

Daphne only came to Los Angeles because Steffy wanted her to break up Carter and Hope. She stayed because she fell for Carter, but now what will she do? There isn't much left for her in L.A. now that the Forresters have their company back and Carter is determined to make a life with Hope. Will she finally hop a plane back to Paris?
